DepEd Teachers to receive Php 5000 Cash Allowance Starting August 29 for FY 2023

Public school teachers of the Department of Education will receive cash allowance amounting to Five Thousand Pesos starting August 29, 2023. This was stated in the Joint Memorandum dated August 4, and uploaded today on Undersecretary for Finance Annalyn M. Sevilla's Facebook page. 

The said memorandum is about the advisory on the processing and payment of the Fiscal Year 2023 Cash Allowance to teachers. The said benefit is allocated for the purchase of teaching supplies and materials, for internet subscription and other communication expenses, and for an annual medical expense for the School Year 2023- 2024. 

The issuance stipulates the following criteria for the pro- rated payment of the said allowance:

b. After the first 30 days but not more than 90 days	80%
c. After 90 days but not more than 150 days	50%
