One of the best things I received as a teacher this September is the Most Outstanding Teacher- HUMSS Category first placer award in my district. This proves that hard work really pays off. I would like to have my time time to reminisce what I've been through for the past nine years.
I remember the sleepless nights working on my first action research. There were times I doubt myself if I can finish it as the pandemic made researching challenging.
I remember the joy of being tapped as a resource speaker on a topic close to my heart which is campus journalism in the Division Level for the very first time in 2023. I was nervous, but I was able to share my thoughts about online publishing. I felt elated when I was given another chance this year.
I remember the jitters I had when I had my first demo teaching in school and regional level respectively. It is difficult to teach a lesson while many things are running on my head like thinking about the criticisms or reactions on my pedagogies. Those moments were really nerve-wracking but fun as I love to be challenged for refining of my skills.
I remember the happiness of printing my certificates after participating in the Professional Development Programs of NEAP during the pandemic era. But, before receiving them, I had to juggle online courses with my school tasks. Thee were times I ate my meals late just to attend online classes and comply to the requirements. My sacrifices ended with better outcomes.
Thank you to all the people I worked with to attain an outstanding rating in IPCRF 2023-2024. The previous school year made me more cordial with stakeholders.
I do not know what will be ending of my journey in this Search in the Division Level. But, being a representative of my district is already a big win. May this post be a reminder to myself when there are times I want to quit.
