To our Oral Communication in Context Teacher, Mr. Carl John Carolino, to my classmates, ladies and gentlemen, good afternoon.
Every day is a challenge. We face daily battles like waking up early and rushing going to the school. Furthermore, we do many tasks and projects. Even how strong we are, we also get tired. We feel stress. We go to our homes, moving like zombies. You look in the mirror and you get dissatisfied about your day.
When we feel anxious and pressured, we get stressed. As humans, we cannot avoid that as our bodies have limitations.
Stress in everyday life is an obstacle we need to overcome and survive. If you survive, you will win, but if you do not know how to balance things, you will lose.
You might ask me, “What should we do not to be stressed?” All of us have problems. Some are simple while some are complicated. However, some of these problems are treated as big deals but actually they are not. What? Let me explain that. I am stress right now! This is the start. (laughter)
Let me explain my point. We treat all problems the same. We tend to worry too much that we think that we carry the world with our arms. Many stressful situations are not as serious as they might seem. In our case, as a student there are many requirements that we need to finish. These are given earlier but we love to rush because tomorrow the deadline of submission. We blame the requirements for making our face having pimples. A pimple in our face makes us think that we are ugly. Actually, if we learned to do things little by little, we do not need to do things overnight. Another one, you are always late to your next subject (ouch) that is why your teacher always remind you to school early.
These problems are easy to solve. Do not do overacting. Everything will be fine. However, for our ages it is obvious that schooling is our great challenge. How are we going to survive?
Listen to me carefully. Always remember the word “fight.” You are facing a simple problem right now and it is not as severe as a cancer that will slowly kill you. You have many requirements? Then, do these immediately for you not to rush. Always remember, if we know our priorities, we do not need to rush.
Your teacher always remind you to go early in school because you are always late. Then, manage your time! Discipline yourself to go early in the school. Problem solved! Have positive outlook in life. Just what I said later cheer up yourself.
Aja aja or fight, fight. This is what I am trying to tell you. It is your choice to get stressed. Remember, it is you who chooses how to behave and think what to do. Always put to your mind, “Everything is a matter of choice.”

To all my fellow classmates and to our subject teacher, Sir Carl John Carolino, ladies and gentlemen, good afternoon. I am glad to deliver my speech to all of you.
I know all of us have best friend, but do they consider us as a best friend too? Some are best friends for long years, but are they really best of friends? Some are kind to us, but when we are not with them are they still kind to us? To what extent are you familiar with your friend? What if all of us do not have best friends or a friend? To whom can we tell our problems if these are not acceptable to our family?
Our best friends are with us in good or bad times. We tell our problems to them about our trials in life, family, other people and especially about our crushes and our special someone. In fact, we have more bonding with our friends than our family. My friend is my second brother/sister and my second family. We consider them like that.
How can we have a good and true friend if some of them are called “plastic” and traitors? Many friendships ended because of misunderstandings, boastfulness, high pride, love life, and differences. Some of your friends only call you when times of their needs. Some are called traitors like for example in your love life. In the first place you love him and he loves you too. In the end, you love him but he already love your best friend. You treat her as your sister but she only made something that makes you mad.
Sometimes we ask ourselves if where and how we can find a true friend? We can find anywhere— in school, neighbor, church, etc. but not all of them are perfect. But always remember this that one to become a friend, he or she should do the FRIEND scheme.
A friend is (F) faithfully supporting you when you are right by taking your side and when you’re wrong by telling you the truth. (R) Regardless of your differences, he or she will always listen to you and respect your opinion. (I) Imagining life without your friend is one of the hardest things you can think of. (E) Everything you have been through brought you closer together and never caused you to drift apart. (N) Nothing will ever stop you from sharing your true feelings because you know they’ll always be by your side. (D) Days will pass, years will fly I have no idea what life has hidden for me but I know I can always count on you by my side. These make someone a true friend.
They say best friend is better than boyfriend/girlfriend. But for me TRUE best friend is better than boyfriend/girlfriend because not all are true to us. So, a true best friend will never leave you whatever worst happen because they love, care and accept you for who you are. So give importance to them and do not leave each other. Having misunderstanding is normal because sometimes it can be the reason to make your relationship as best friend stronger and also you can learn many lesson to that. If you do not want to destroy your relationship as best friend always try to talk to him/her about your issue or problem that might affect your relationship. And one thing more, your relationship as best friend will be stronger when the center of your relationship is our father God. Always make him as a foundation for your perfect relationship.
We must be friendly to all. Your seatmates can be your friends, too. God bless everyone.

To my Oral Communication in Context Mr. Carl John Carolino, classmates, ladies and gentlemen, good afternoon. Last month, Anda and other places in Luzon suffered under the Typhoon Ompong. We experienced power outage and flood that greatly affected our livelihood and lifestyle. We are still lucky that we are safe from the rage, but there are many of our kababayan who lost their loved ones and grieved over their crops and properties destroyed by the weather disturbance.
This afternoon, I am going to talk about typhoon. Why it is a dangerous phenomenon? A typhoon is a severe weather disturbance characterized by strong winds and heavy rains, which revolve around a center low pressure area. Typhoons are cyclones formed in the Pacific Ocean. Our country is not spared from these because we are located in the Pacific area.
According to Philippine Astronomical Geophysical Atmospheric Seismological Agency of PAGASA, there are around 20 typhoons entering Philippine Area of Responsibility or PAR in a year. Some of these could be deadly especially if these traverse in the land. Typhoon Haiyan locally known as Yolanda is the strongest typhoon ever recorded in the world. The whole world witnessed the bleak condition of fellow Filipinos especially in Tacloban and other provinces in the Visayan region. Many people died and frustrated as their houses were wiped out.
This year, the country is challenged anew as Typhoon Ompong showed his strength in the northern provinces. Rice plants and corn crops are soaked by the heavy rains. There were at least 95 people died because of typhoon Ompong, the police said on Friday, September 21 2018. Most of the fatalities were from the Cordillera Administration Region (CAR), which is still reeling from deadly landslides triggered by the typhoon. The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said at least 1.4 million residents have been affected by the typhoon.
We, Filipinos should now learn our lessons. Typhoons are getting more destructive than before. As students, we must know how to be prepared for the upcoming typhoons. You must practice precautionary measures like having an emergency bag and evacuation plans. We must be updated through watching news and the like. In addition, we must pray to God because he will save us.
If we are knowledgeable on the hazards that we cannot avoid to face, we can have steps to save ourselves. Thank you and God bless everyone.

To all my classmates and to my teacher, Sir Carl John Carolino, I am glad to see you all and I am happy for the chance to speak.
Many people are using the Internet. According to the news, there are 57 million Filipinos who are browsing the World Wide Web. Nowadays, we can say that Internet is the man’s best friend. There are many things people can do in the virtual world and some that I am going to tell you are social media platforms.
Facebook allows one person to see the activities of their friends through the posts and media uploaded. People use this platform to stay connected with their friends and family. Furthermore, this is used to discover what is going on in the world. Right now, we go to Facebook to share and express our sentiments, our opinions in everything that affects us. I bet that your FB accounts are flooded with photos about our speech activities. Do not forget to tag me.
We can now watch the whole world and even universe because of YouTube. This platform has many videos to cater be it documentaries, news clips, and funny videos. YouTube is fun but you need to have a strong Internet connection. In the Philippines, unfortunately we have slow Internet speed that can destroy the momentum of enjoyment.
On the other hand, for those who are always searching, you have now a friend: Google. If you want to know how to cook a recipe or if you have your assignment, just type your query and Google has answers. If you are searching for the one, the search site can be the answer to your yearning heart.
You can do more with Internet. You can play games, you can do projects, you can have a job. But, we should not abuse it. Use it to connect with people, not to destroy others. And, we should be careful in surfing because lies and fake are present in various online sites. Do not be fooled. Be wise.
It is nice to be in the virtual world, but we should not forget that there is a real world that we need to face. I am glad to see you face to face and listen to me personally. Thank you and God bless you all.
